The festival celebrates young funky New Orleans music in Denmark and has during the years presented bands like Six City Stompers, Esben Just, Wonderbrazz, Jazz Five, Tuesday Night Brass Band, Astro Buddha Agogo, NOLA Love and Mardi Gras Indian, Gerald French (US), Tricia Boutté (US), Emil Otto & Voo Ca Ray and Niclas Bardeleben & Not Bad News.

Kickstart 2019 med årets New Orleans brag når NONYJE #7 løber af stablen d. 11. og 12. januar 2019 på Pumpehuset i KBH. I en kold tid bliver der skoldhedt på dansegulvet som var det Mardi Gras i "The Big Easy".

Minifestivalen afholdes for 7.gang og er et overflødighedshorn af jazz, streetfunk, blues og soul serveret af landets absolut bedste band med navne som Wonderbrazz, Ida Nielsen, Al Agami, Jazz Five, Nellie Ettison og Brassflavour. Dertil kommer årets special guest fra New Orleans; Michael Watson.
