Oblique Arts Ensemble was founded by bassist Markus Hunt upon moving to Denver in 2014. The Syntax lineup features Rent Romus, who according to late Danish jazz critic Jack Lind, “Swings like death and hell”, on saxophones and Ryan James Seward on drums.
