Diversity is the motor behind Caravan, the music project of pianist/composer Julian Schneemann. Together with the female Syrian oud player Jawa Manla, violinist Emmy Storms and percussionist Jeroen Batterink he has been on the road since 2017 billed as “A musical reconciliation between East and West, classical and jazz and folk music”. ‘Ode to Tomorrow’ is their next stage to bridge several music cultures. With three young vocalists from every point of the compass they present “An Ode to the Land of Tomorrow”. Wasim Arslan from Syria, the Indian/Dutch Madhu Lalbahadoersing and Shishani Vranckx of Namibian ancestry are born storytellers. Each of them will perform their own dreams of the future.
