About
After the success of our 2019 Durval Ferreira tribute, we switch the focus from guitar to piano with this concert honoring the still-active 85-year-old legend João Donato. We will feature 16 of his stunning pieces made famous by artists like Gal Costa, Martinho da Vila, and Bebel Gilberto. Personnel includes Gabriela Gimenes - flute, Alexandra Santos - voice, Simon Lucas - percussion, Ben Graves - guitar, Bernardo Gomez - bass, Peter Fung - percussion/cavaquinho and Kerry Politzer - piano.
