Rahul Shah - Saxophone/Flute
Rahul Shah is an award-winning saxophonist based in New York City. Having recently graduated from the Manhattan School of Music, he is currently a resident saxophone, flute, and clarinet instructor at several private schools around the city. Alongside his current position, Rahul maintains a full performing and private teaching schedule with notable performances at venues across the city such as Smalls, Birdland, Dizzy’s Coca-Cola Club, The Django, and Winnie’s Jazz Bar. Most recently, Rahul made his international debut having received first place at the 2024 Carinthia International Jazz Saxophone Competition. Additionally, Rahul was awarded second place at the 2025 Navy Band International Saxophone Symposium Jazz Competition. Steven Feifke is a GRAMMY Award winning bandleader, composer, and arranger.Steven Feifke is a GRAMMY Award-winning bandleader, composer and arranger. Heralded as a “masterful pianist” (JAZZIZ), Feifke has been featured on prominent news and television outlets including NBC, FOX, and CBS. His impressive resume includes collaborations with jazz icons such as Wynton Marsalis and Christian McBride, as well as renowned ensembles like the Metropole Orkest, NY Pops and the Toronto Symphony. Feifke’s music has received praise for its “infectious joy” (DownBeat Magazine) and has toured extensively throughout the world including Thailand, Italy, Canada, Colombia and Ecuador. His new trio album The Role of the Rhythm Section Vol. II captures the more intimate side of his artistry in a fresh take on the classic piano trio. As a Yamaha Performing Artist, an Avid Sibelius Artist, Feifke has appeared on over 45 albums to date. He has also written music for hit TV shows like The Masked Singer, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Impractical Jokers, Animaniacs, and several award-winning short films. Feifke is a sought after educator, and has previously held a professorship of Harmony and Jazz Composition at Berklee College Of Music. He has also been invited to give guest lectures and Artist in Residencies at institutions including Juilliard, Yale University, Jazz At Lincoln Center, New York University, UT Austin, Northern Illinois University, and more. With a digital presence spanning an audience of over 85,000, Feifke’s online education platform for big band and orchestral composition and arranging, Lead Sheet to Large Ensemble, is one of the largest of its kind worldwide. In his free time, he enjoys jogging, reading, and playing chess.
