Ronan Guilfoyle's 96 Miles at Bray Jazz Festival at Mermaid Arts Centre

Miles Davis and his various bands created a huge repertoire of music that is regularly performed all over the world, and that forms a sizeable portion of the traditional jazz repertoire.

Written by Ronan Guilfoyle, one of Ireland’s leading bassists and composers, ’96Miles’ is a large scale work for sextet, dedicated to Miles, that references the various stages of his career from the acoustic music of the quintets to the electric groove-based music of his later years.
