The Sunshine Jazz Organization presents the monthly series entitled "1st Fridays Live Jazz at the Lyric" . On April 5th we will feature the soulful songstress "LaVie" at the Historic Lyric Theater in Overtown, Miami. We will also celebrate the International Jazz Month. LaVie released her debut album titled "Life Music", filled with inspirational songs, featuring the single "Alive," which has touched the hearts of listeners since 2014 and remains a fan favorite. In 2015, LaVie embarked on The Maestro East Coast Tour, performing in 10 major cities across the nation, including New York City, Boston, D.C., Chicago, Detroit, and Pittsburgh. As the opening act for KyMani Marley, son of Bob Marley, LaVie enthralled thousands of fans with her performances. In 2016 she released her single "Queen," drawing inspiration from her Caribbean heritage and she had the opportunity to share the stage with artists such as Usher, Janelle Monae, Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, the Average White Band, and more at Jazz in the Gardens. LaVie is the Founder and President of Give Thanks, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing social services for children in need. With her captivating stage presence and infectious personality, LaVie serves as a shining example of living life to the fullest. Her name, "La Vie," meaning "The Life" in French, perfectly embodies her mission to encourage and empower people to embrace the life that God intends for them through her music, philanthropy and advocacy.
