SOCIAL MAMBO is a musical experience inspired by the Californian West-Coast Latin Jazz scene of the 1950s and 60s. The band consists of some of the finest Cuban musicians and friends. Friends who enjoy performing together and inspire each other to elevate their collective level to a higher standard of improvisation and arrangements.
The incredible Yasser Pino on bass is a phenomenal musician and one of the most valuable bassists and arrangers in the Latin American music scene. In the rhythm section, we find the award-winning Eliel Lazo, a master on congas, who has played with legends such as Herbie Hancock and Michel Camilo. And on the vibraphone, we have the one and only Morten Grønvald - a multi-instrumentalist and arranger whose musical abilities know no bounds. We also share the stage with musicians like the excellent vocalist Ernesto Mannuitt and the fantastic Cuban trumpeter Carlos Sarduy....

Social Mambo is led by the cuban master percussionist Yohan Ramon from the small cuban village called Media Luna. Since his arrival in Denmark in 2007 he has started various successful projects and toured with the likes of Snarky Puppy (USA), Bilal Irshed (PL), Isam B (Dk), Folkeklubben (DK) – Phlake (DK) DANSEORKESTRET (DK).

Venner som nyder at optræde sammen, og inspirerer hinanden til at hæve deres fælles niveau til en højere standard af improvisationer og arrangementer.
Den utrolige Yasser Pino på bassen, er en fænomenal musiker og en af de mest værdifulde bassister og arrangører i den latinamerikanske musikscene. I rytmegruppen finder vi den prisvindende-vindende Eliel Lazo, en mester på congas, der har spillet med legender som Herbie Hancock og Michel Camilo. Social Mambo ledes af den cubanske mesterpercussionist Yohan Ramon fra den lille cubanske landsby Media Luna. Siden hans ankomst til Danmark i 2007 har han startet forskellige succesfulde projekter og turneret med navne som Snarky Puppy (USA), Bilal Irshed (PL), Isam B (Dk), Folkeklubben (DK), Phlake (DK) og DANSEORKESTRET (DK).
