On Sunday, August 24th the Renaissance Jazz Brunch and Roz Nixon Entertainment present THE NAT ADDERLEY JR. TRIO and THE MOTOWN REVUE.

Grammy nominated arranger and pianist Nat Adderley Jr, former Musical Director for Luther Vandross, comes from a legacy family in jazz, so he’s well-rooted in swing and soul. As those who have seen and heard him at previous brunches, his jazz renditions of standards and R&B classics will have folks dancing in their seats!

Motown Revue: Celebrating the Music of Our Lives

Join us as we will celebrate the Music of Motown. You’ll dance and sing along for the entire show as we salute a list of the labels' top artists, like The Supremes, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Gladys Knight and more… The Revue takes place at the Hollywood Palladium where various Motown Stars are taping a television special. As the evening swings along, the hosts sojourn through each of the artist’s stellar careers.

The 75 minute stage show will present a group of talented, established artists, include Martinez Little and Stuart Orlando Morgan of the legendary R&B group, BLUE MAGIC. The show will also spotlight “Priceless” a powerful singer /songwriter and bandleader who will bring the house down as she sings the songs of Gladys Knight and Martha Reeves.

Donna Smith and Yvette Cushnie, both lead singers from the popular cover band “Sessions,” bring their own particular brand of Sultry, Sassy Soul to the stage--Donna as Mary Wells and Yvette as Dianna Ross. The cast also includes Stephen Williams from the gospel group ‘The Soul Converters” as well as Keith Dames and Melvin Brown, both veteran film actors and vocalists.
