On one Sunday (3-6 pm) each month, the Stardust Big Band holds its Tea Dance in the Crystal Ballroom of Hot Springs' historic Arlington Hotel. Admission is $8 at the door; there is no charge for those 18 and under. (A cash bar is available in the hotel lobby.) This 17-piece band (founded in 1982) is the only big band playing swing and jazz consistently in Arkansas; it features some of Arkansas's most accomplished jazz musicians, including vocalist and emcee Shirley Chauvin.
