On Saturday, October 17, 2015, the 28th annual Staten Island JAZZ Festival takes place at the historic Music Hall at Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden from 2 to 7 p.m. Universal Temple of the Arts (UTA) presents the annual celebration featuring jazz music, dance, song, art, and spoken word performances. The festival has a reputation for illuminating established Staten Island artists, and this year is no different; featured artists include the Danny Mixon Quartet, the Winard Harper Ensemble, and Betty Shirley.
