UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra joins forces with the rap artist Stepa. Hits from different stages of Stepa’s career have been arranged for UMO’s orchestra, consisting of 18 members, for this concert. The performance will feature an intriguing mix of jazz, soul, funk and hip-hop, seamlessly integrated into the rich sound of the large orchestra. This musical experience encourages us to dream, reminds us of the power of friendship and opens up new views on the beauty of life.

Joni Stenberg (b. 1987), professionally known as Stepa, has established himself as one of the most appreciated and distinctive rappers in Finland. He hails from Sodankylä and has been called the voice of northern Finnish rap. In his music, he combines a relaxed and warm atmosphere with deep and thought-provoking lyrics. His message is carried by two major forces: peace and love. Stepa has released eleven albums and has collaborated with, among others, Gettomasa, Paperi T, JVG, and Evil Stöö.

UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra yhdistää voimansa rap-artisti Stepankanssa. Stepan uran eri vaiheilta poimitut suosikkibiisit on nyt sovitettu UMOn 18-henkiselle kokoonpanolle tätä konserttia varten. Luvassa on kiehtova sekoitus jazzin, soulin, funkin ja hiphopin sävyjä, jotka sulautuvat saumattomasti ison orkesterin rikkaaseen soundiin. Tämä musiikillinen elämys kannustaa unelmoimaan, muistuttaa ystävyyden voimasta ja avaa näkymiä elämän kauneuteen.
