SJO presents our monthly Jazz series with November's featured artist ~ multi-talented Ms. Leesa Richards accompanied by Allen Paul on piano, Augustin Conti on bass, and Errol Cooper on drums. Leesa is a singer-songwriter-actress and dancer raised in music-rich Detroit. She began her career performing with dance companies while honing her vocal chops with soul greats Gerald Austin and Peabo Bryson. Her first world tour was as a dancer with Whitney Houston, after which she combined her love for music and dance, earning the role of Mary Magdalene in the national tour of the Broadway musical, Jesus Christ Superstar.
