Harpist Brandee Younger music resists both labels and genres and has the uncanny ability to push the harp to new and undiscovered territory. She is classically trained and her harp is at home with the greats of jazz and alongside the latest hip hop. The Brandee Younger Jazz Harp Quartet features a powerhouse rhythm section of drummer EJ Strickland and bassist Dezron Douglas with Stacy Dillard on tenor sax. They set a musical atmosphere that looks both backwards and forwards simultaneously, challenging what harp music is and can become in the 21st Century.
