The Empire Jazz Orchestra, the region's top big band, makes its Berkshires debut at the 10th annual Pittsfield CityJazz Festival. Three top-tier guest soloists appear with the band: Claire Daly (baritone sax), Sharel Cassity (tenor) (who were band-mates on the Diva Big Band) and Ada Rovatti (alto) (fresh from her tour with the Brecker Brothers Band). The one-time event is the only time these performers have appeared together.
