Lara Louise, a Dutch-born vocalist, started singing at a young age. After moving to California in 2020, she started recording and performing with producer and multi-instrumentalist Gawain Mathews. Their shared love for ’60s folk and pop music strongly influences their renditions. Their debut album, Alone Together, was an eclectic blend of folk and jazz, ranging from Leonard Cohen to Sidney Bechet, whereas their new album Quiet Nights of Quiet Stars primarily features jazz standards....
