The Count Basie Orchestraa pidetään yhtenä maailman merkittävimmistä jazzorkestereista. Pianisti ja orkesterinjohtaja William James "Count" Basien (1904–1984) vuonna 1935 perustamasta kokoonpanosta on muodostunut synonyymi erityisen laadukkaalle ja svengaavalle rytmimusiikille. Orkesterin tarina jatkuu täysin poikkeuksellisesti edelleenkin, 38 vuotta sen perustajan kuoleman jälkeen. Trumpetisti Scotty Barnhart on johtanut The Count Basie Orchestraa vuodesta 2013 alkaen. Konsertin solistiksi saapuvan Carmen Bradfordin Count Basie kiinnitti orkesterinsa vakituiseksi laulusolistiksi alun perin vuonna 1983.
