Tulio Araujo is a brazilian musician, producer and composer. Having always surveyed and studied the roots and origins of Brazilian music, Túlio Araújo became interested in percussion in 1999. In 2012 Tulio recorded his first album “Manguêra" The album, conceived and produced alongside the saxophonist Breno Mendonca, was launched and enthusiastically received at the Savassi Jazz Festival by the Museu de Artes e Oficios in Belo Horizonte. In the fall, Túlio was invited by Savassi Music Festival NY to perform in New York City - where he shared stages with some of the best instrumentalists alive, such as Sergio Krakowski, Todd Neufeld, and John Ellis. Upon returning to Brazil at the end of 2013, he began the producing and recording of his second album, “East”, to be launched in New York in Savassi Festival. Araújo will play in the Boss LoopStation Festival 2014 in San Francisco - where he will “play” with electronic equipment and perform another of his ventures, The “Electric Pandeiro” Project....
