Jazz faculty present an hour of original tunes followed by a set featuring guest artist Duke Way, who seemlessly mixes poems and stories with jazz music. He will present his entire 5-part piece called "Johnny the Lip", the story of a hungry young trumpet player in New Orleans. Dawn Osborne will be a second featured guest artist, singing on Duke's piece, "Mammy Magic."
