T. J. Borden & Louise Dam Eckardt Jensen
T. J. Borden and Louise Dam Eckardt Jensen form a dynamic and pioneering duo that explores a diverse spectrum of sound nuances and innovative approaches.
Tyler J. Borden is a cellist who’s working with, in and around the limitations of the cello. Formerly from Western NY, he is now based in Brooklyn NY where he spends much of his time finding ways to explore his own abilities and the instrument's weaknesses. T. J. Borden is a versatile sound creator, noise producer, collaborator and community organizer.
Louise Dam Eckardt Jensen is a Danish-American saxophonist, composer and multi-instrumentalist whose anti-authoritarian approach has led to an international career, where she thrives in both the claustrophobic atmosphere of New York City and the idyllic Southern Jutland. In her music, this duality can be found through a mixture of raw, uncompromising exploration of harsh noise, alongside exploration of searching melodic movements, percussive textures and general extended techniques.

Light, shadow and deep-dark colour combinations alternate effortlessly in the soundscape of the new studio album “Emerald" from Jacob Anderskov. As on the internationally highly acclaimed albums with his “Agnostic Revelations” quartet, we are witnessing Anderskov’s reinventing take on the medium-sized ensemble central to his overall oeuvre. Sounding unlike anything else right now, this is new, innovative music. Compositions and improvisations oscillate between the spectral (here in the sense: the overtone-oriented, post-human) and the expressive (here: an embodied, soulful expression with a background in human experiences).
Lotte Anker - tsax+ssax
Anders Banke - bclar + alto flute
Henriette Groth - clarinet + viola
Jacob Anderskov - piano
Nils Davidsen - bass + cello
Peter Bruun - drums

T. J. Borden & Louise Dam Eckardt Jensen

“Et modernistisk stjernehold” (Tor Hammerø, Nettavisen.no).
Lotte Anker - tenorsaxofon+sopran saxofon
Anders Banke - basklarinet + altfløjte
Henriette Groth -klarinet + bratsch
Jacob Anderskov - klaver
Nils Davidsen - bas + cello
Peter Bruun - trommer
