Acclaimed Singer/Songwriter Vonda Shepard has sold over twelve million albums, won two Golden Globes, two Emmy Awards, two Screen Actor’s Guild awards, and is most notably the writer and performer of the original “Searchin’ My Soul”, the theme song for Ally McBeal. She also holds the Billboard prize for selling the most T.V. soundtracks in history.
Vonda began playing clubs at the age of fourteen and was signed to Reprise Records at 24, where her “Don’t Cry Ilene” became a VH1 hit topping out at #11. In 1986, Vonda had a major pop hit singing “Can’t We Try” in a duet with Dan Hill that made it to #6 on the Pop Charts. It was during these early years as a successful indie performer that she toured with such luminaries as Rickie Lee Jones, Al Jarreau and Jackson Browne as either back-up singer or keyboardist....
