Acclaimed Singer/Songwriter Vonda Shepard has sold over twelve million albums, won two Golden Globes, two Emmy Awards, two Screen Actor’s Guild awards, and is most notably the writer and performer of the original “Searchin’ My Soul”, the theme song for Ally McBeal. She also holds the Billboard prize for selling the most T.V. soundtracks in history.
Vonda began playing clubs at the age of fourteen and was signed to Reprise Records at 24, where her “Don’t Cry Ilene” became a VH1 hit topping out at #11. In 1986, Vonda had a major pop hit singing “Can’t We Try” in a duet with Dan Hill that made it to #6 on the Pop Charts. Vonda now tours in support of her most recent album Red Light/Green Light with her stellar band, whose all-star line-up has alternately featured musicians that have played with Tina Turner, Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash, John Hiatt and Jackson Browne to name a few.
