The concert will be held on Saturday, April 9th, 2016 at 4 PM at the Eubie Blake National Jazz Institute and Cultural Center (847 N. Howard St., Baltimore, MD 21201). The performance will feature a stellar group of musicians: Charles Rahmat Woods on flute and saxophone, Allen Jones on drums, Jeron White on acoustic bass and Joseph Wilson on piano.
Born in Buffalo NY, Woods has appeared with his own ensembles on radio and television broadcast. His theme music has been used for the syndicated Native American cable TV show âFour Windsâ and his song, âLook What You Done to Meâ, was used in the major feature film âSomething Newâ starring Sanaa Latham.

The CHARLES âRAHMATâ WOODS QUARTET and its extensions have performed for numerous dignitaries and government representatives in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Inspired by John Coltrane, Thelonius Monk, Don Cherry, Jim Pepper and Grover Washington, the quartet, grounded in Jazz and Blues, will visit a broad spectrum of genres from Swing to Latin to New Age.
