The Necks from Australia are one of those acts that just need to be heard live. The way the trio, now a band for more than 30 years and counting, creates magic by improvising with piano, bass and drums is unique. The Finnish jazz legend Olli Ahvenlahti will release new jazz music via We Jazz Records during the fall. This is the first chance to hear what it sounds like live, as the pianist takes the stage backed by the trio also known as the Jaska Lukkarinen Trio. We Jazziin aina haussa ollut maaginen australialaisyhtye The Necks on saatu vihdoin naarattua mestoille. Hurraa!!! Olli Ahvenlahti esittelee uuden yhtyeensä, jonka levynjulkaisua samalla juhlistetaan. Ahvenlahti lyö hynttyyt yhteen Jaska Lukkarinen Triona tunnetun kolmikon kanssa ja esittää uusia jazzkappaleitaan, joita onkin jo odoteltu parisen vuosikymmentä. Illan avaa tietenkin M. A. Numminen, We Jazzin rakas ystävä, joka käsittelee viikon avajaisesityksessään luultavasti jollain lailla satavuotista jazzia.
