We Jazz X Helsinki Design Week at Kahvila Sävy

The third annual We Jazz Festival, scheduled for 7-13 December this year, is slowly but surely drawing nearer. The programme for the upcoming festival will be announced on 5 September at Helsinki Design Week.
The occasion will be celebrated at Kahvila Sävy, one of last year’s and this year’s We Jazz Festival venues, in a cosy event where live music is provided by the internationally celebrated Verneri Pohjola on the trumpet and a younger lion, drummer Sami Nummela. In addition to solo sets the artists have promised to join forces at some point of the evening on a duo performance. We Jazz DJs – who have recently spun records at, for example, Pori Jazz, H2Ö Festival in Turku and at the We Jazz summer club – will complete the soundtrack of the night with the juiciest selection of jazz vinyl....

Helsingissä 7.–13.12. järjestettävän kolmannen vuosittaisen We Jazz -tapahtuman ohjelmisto julkistetaan Helsinki Design Weekin yhteydessä 5. syyskuuta. Tapausta juhlistetaan Kahvila Sävyssä, jossa kuullaan kaksi sooloesitystä myös joulukuun jazzviikolla mukana olevilta artisteilta.
Tapahtumassa esiintyvät kansainvälisesti arvostetuimpiin suomalaisiin jazz-artisteihin lukeutuva trumpetisti Verneri Pohjola ja suomijazzin potentiaalisimpiin nouseviin nuoriin kykyihin kuuluva rumpali Sami Nummela. Sooloesitysten ohella Pohjolan ja Nummelan suunnitelmissa on esiintyä illan aikana duona. Pohjolan ja Nummelan ohella jazzia Sävyssä tarjoilevat We Jazz -deejiit, joita on kesän aikana kuultu mm. Pori Jazzissa, H2Ö-festivaalilla Turussa ja mbarin suosituilla We Jazz -kesäklubeilla.
Helsinki Design Weekillä tapahtuvaan jazz-iltaan kuuluu myös We Jazz 2015 -tabloid-lehden julkistus. Nyt ensi kertaa julkistettava We Jazz -lehti tarjoilee tuoreimmat kuulumisen jazzin saralta ja ennakoi kattavasti joulukuun tapahtumaa.
