Wes is a saxophonist, composer, and multi-disciplinary PhD student at Yale University. In addition to completing a PhD in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, Wes has studied under multiple Grammy award-winning musicians including Wayne Escoffery, Abraham Burton, and George Caldwell. Wes is a member of the Yale Jazz All-Stars and has performed with the Grammy-winning Mingus Big Band and tenor saxophone giant George Coleman among other Jazz greats. He has also played at famed venues such as Dizzy’s (Jazz @ Lincoln Center) and Scullers Jazz Club.
