Yako Horikita grew up in Kawagoe, Saitama. She studied classical piano from an early age, and later on, her encounter with jazz led her to jazz singing.
Her first album was released in 2017, followed by the release of an analog 7-inch record in 2018, and her second album in 2021 was also well received.
