Yngel + Tom/Mahall at Bryggekælderen

Yngel is an experimental guitar-duo who search for the boundaries of how you can use the electric guitar through composition and improvisation. They use simple tools such as stones and metal objects to explore and interweave different approaches to the guitar and it's sounds. They draws as much influence from free jazz and punk as they do from classical and folklore.

Yngel has recently toured in Indonesia, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, England and Denmark.

The duo is born out of Copenhagen’s wide experimental underground scene.
Danish magazine Jazz Special have described their music as: "post-everything-you-have-heard-before. Post-composition, post-metal, post-folk and post-african music, post-avantgarde, post-funk, post-minimalism and so on” and called their debut album "the most interesting jazz releases from 2015”....

Rudi Mahall er en legendarisk skikkelse på den internationale avantgarde-scene. Som medlem af bl.a. Der Rote Bereich, Globe Unity Orchestra og Monk's Casino har han skabt sig et navn som en af Europas største improvisatorer og en unik formidler på basklarinetten. Han mestrer både klarinet og basklarinet som ingen anden og er med sit intense, positive udtryk altid en oplevelse at høre og se live.

I løbet af de sidste par år har Kasper Tom slået sit navn fast på den europæiske
jazzscene, ikke mindst som leder af grupperne FUSK og Kasper Tom/Jacob Anderskov, men også som sideman i forskellige ad hoc projekter med musikere som Alexander von Schlippenbach, Axel Dörner og Johannes Bauer.
