Every year the big stars of the international music scene as well as up and coming talents are invited to play at the festival. Thereby inspiring new discoveries aside traditional listening habits are guaranteed. Every second year music unlimited is curated by a famous musician, former curators include Fred Frith, Jon Rose, Zeena Parkins, Otomo Yoshihide, The Ex, Carla Kihlstedt, Peter Brötzmann, Okkyung Lee, Christof Kurzmann, Mary Halvorson, Joe McPhee, Magda Mayas and Kazuhisa Uchihashi.
