The Jazzaldia or San Sebastian Jazz Festival was founded in 1966, it is the oldest jazz festival in Spain and one of the oldest in Europe. The Jazzaldia takes place by the end of July and hosts around a hundred concerts on stages across the city, some are free and others are ticketed; and some are in the open air (beach, squares, parks...) and some others are indoors (theatres, museums, auditoriums...).
