Sidney Bechet Society Jam Sessions

The Sidney Bechet Society, Ltd.® was formed in July of 1997. Its charter is to promote the music inspired by Sidney Bechet. Our first jazz concert featuring Bob Wilber and Benny Waters, was named Concert of the Year by Joe Klee in the Mississippi Rag for the year 1997. The same honor was extended to our jazz concert in 1998 and 2001. We continue to present some of New York’s highest quality traditional jazz,featuring four top notch shows at Hunter College’s Kaye Playhouse
