The most magnificent and eco-friendly cruise ship of the Baltic Sea, Viking Grace, is together with Flame Jazz inviting you to yet another mini jazz festival at sea in September.
 
The uniqe concept combines jazz with the beautiful Archipelago Sea landscapes. The audience gets to enjoy some of Finland’s high end jazz ensembles during 23h, for the regular price of a cruise. In addition to the top artists there will also be relaxed jam sessions together with music students. Kolmannentoista jazzristeilyn kattaus liikkuu menomatkalla L’Alliance Takalon hienovaraisesta tunnelmoinnista Nassaun Fasaanin räjähtävään fuusioenergiaan. Varsinaiseen lauantai-illan huumaan risteilykansan johdattelee kansainvälistä menestystä nauttiva Helsinki-Cotonou Ensemble, jonka musiikki on suoraan tanssisuoneen iskevä yhdistelmä länsiafrikkalasia voodoo-rytmejä, afrobeatia, jazzia ja funkia.
Jazzia ja iskelmää yhdistelevä ennakkoluuloton Gourmet herättelee paluumatkalle rikkaalla soundimaailmallaan. Sunnuntaina päästään myös elokuviin, kun Voguessa esitetään kuvataiteilija Perttu Saksan dokumenttielokuva Animal Image tuoreimman Yrjö-palkitun, trumpetisti Verneri Pohjolan, ja lyömäsoitintaiteilija Mika Kallion johdolla. Risteily huipentuu suomijazzin eliittiin kuuluvan saksofonisti Timo Lassyn sekä Ricky-Tick Big Bandin vaskipuhaltajien seurassa kolmentoista soittajan vastustamattomalla groove-energialla.
Normaali risteilylippu oikeuttaa sisäänpääsyyn kaikkiin risteilyn konsertteihin. Paluu sunnuntaina 23.9. klo 19.50.
