Gene Bertoncini Solo Guitar Concert at The Drawing Room

Gene Bertoncini can transform a nylon-string guitar into a little orchestra. Called “The Segovia of Jazz Guitar” by the late jazz critic and historian Gene Lees, he has accompanied Tony Bennett, Lena Horne and Nancy Wilson, collaborated with Buddy Rich, Wayne Shorter and Burt Bacharach among many others, and made landmark duo recordings with bassist Michael Moore. The cozy house-concert atmosphere of The Drawing Room in downtown Brooklyn is an ideal setting in which to hear him. Wine and light refreshments are available, and BYO is encouraged.
