Jazz at the Griff presents: Dan Brubeck at Charles Bailey Theatre

Dan Brubeck introduces his parents’ (Dave and Iola Brubeck) remarkable and surprisingly little-known songbook. Dan (drummer) was featured on nearly a dozen albums with his father, and toured widely with the Dave Brubeck Quartet, including many appearances with the world’s leading orchestras. His quartet doesn’t avoid the best-known numbers either, offering memorable versions of the oft-interpreted “Blue Rondo a la Turk” and Paul Desmond's enduring hit “Take Five.” The band was nominated for a Juno last year from a recording of their live performance of this rare material.
