Joe Ford Quartet at Villa Maria College

Legendary saxophonist Joe Ford (alumnus of McCoy Tyner's bands) returns to Buffalo for the first time since 2011. In his Thursday morning performance at Villa Maria College he leads a quartet with Buffalo mainstays pianist Bobby Jones, bassist Sabu Adeyola, and drummer Abdul Rahman Qadir.

(The quartet will also play at the Historic Colored Musicians Club on Friday, November 13, at 8pm; $10 admission. Joe Ford will also be the featured soloist with the Buffalo Jazz Octet at Pausa Art House on Thursday, November 12 at 8pm; $7 general admission; $5 students.)
