Pianist, Moog player, and composer Ikonen, honored with the Emma Award, the Yrjö Award, and international composition competition victories, is known not only for his own projects but also for collaborations with UMO Jazz Orchestra, Orchestra Nazionale della Luna, Lee Konitz, Louis Sclavis, Ingrid Jensen, Fabrizio Cassol, and Bob Moses, among others. He has performed in the Soviet Union and the United States, as well as in remote locations in the Far and Middle East, Australia, Africa, and in over 30 European countries. Liput 20€Ovet klo 18:00Konsertti klo 19:00Puolisataa vuotta tänä vuonna täyttävä Kari Ikonen (s. 1973) tuo Kokolle nostalgista nostetta, kun 25 vuotta sitten perustettu Karikko-yhtye esittää valikoiman karismaattisia sävellyksiä ikonisen yhtyeen omaperäisestä repertuaarista vuosien varrelta. Kansainvälisen huippuyhtyeen kokoonpano on muuttunut moneen kertaan, nyt on ulkomaiset soittajat korvattu kotimaan valioilla, ja alkuperäisestä Karikosta mukana on Ikosen lisäksi rumputaiteilija Mika Kallio.
Emma-pystillä, Yrjö-palkinnolla ja kansainvälisillä sävellyskilpailuvoitoilla aateloitu pianisti, moogisti ja säveltäjä Ikonen tunnetaan omien projektiensa lisäksi yhteistyöstä mm.
