KPLU School of Jazz Rising Stars at the Bellevue Jazz Festival at The Bellevue Jazz Festival at Bake's Place

The KPLU School of Jazz and the Bellevue Jazz Festival have teamed up to extend the learning for the Seattle region’s top jazz students. The program offers an opportunity for the region’s brightest young musicians to practice the most essential aspects of jazz in a professional setting. High school band directors will nominate their most promising students to participate. Once selected, students will be placed in one of three ensembles led by a professional musician/mentor. Doors open at 5 p.m. for dinner reservations with the show starting at 6 p.m. The concert coincides with the official 2012 KPLU School of Jazz cd release party.
