The award-winning 19-piece Lawrence University Jazz Ensemble presents "Jazz Internationale," a concert featuring original works by composers from Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Germany, Haiti, Norway, Puerto Rico, Sweden and the USA. Highlighting the concert will be the world premiere of "La Caraibeenne," an original work showcasing composer Gessoit Pierre Louis as both conductor and saxophone soloist. Gessoit is attending Lawrence as a visiting student from Haiti. The concert also will include student-arranged versions of "Conflicting Stories" by Croatian composer Tino Derado and "Reincarnation of a Lovebird" by American jazz legend Charles Mingus...
