Trumpeter Leroy Jones is amongst the most accomplished musicians New Orleans has produced over the past 30 years. Born in the city that arguably gave birth to jazz, he began playing the trumpet and studying music at the age of 10. Being widely recognized as a New Orleans jazzman, his playing sometimes takes you through the history of jazz, as his versatility allows him to weave through the past, present and perhaps even the future of his native genre.
