Every Tuesday from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., Chez Georges welcomes the Alex Swing Events collective, which offers a varied and quality program, following a repertoire of swing / gypsy jazz, the music of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli, and many others!Chez Georges is a very pleasant wine bar on rue des canettes, with a magnificent vaulted cellar in the basement, transformed on Tuesday into a gypsy jazz club!Boulou Ferré is the son of guitarist Pierre “Matelo” FERRET and the brother of Elios FERRET, also a guitarist. With his brother, he spells his name without the final t.He learned guitar with his father who had played with the “Quintette du Hot Club de France” for ten years. He studied classical music at the Conservatoire National de Paris and made his first recordings at the age of eleven. In 1964, he played alongside saxophonist John COLTRANE at the “Festival d’Antibes-Juan les Pins”. He also plays with saxophonist Dexter GORDON, trumpeter “Dizzy” GILLESPIE, violinist Stéphane GRAPPELLI, saxophonists Warne MARSH and Barney WILEN and others. He studied harmony and composition with the composer Olivier MESSIAEN and wrote film music for television. In 1978 he formed a duo with his brother Elios and, in 1979, recorded a series of several albums. In the following years, he toured extensively in Europe, America and India. In 1985 he recorded with guitarist Babik REINHARDT, Django's son, in the trio led by Christian ESCOUDÉ.This evening he is the guest of another brotherhood who today keeps the legacy of Django Reinhardt alive, David Gastine the singer-guitarist and Sébastien Gastine known as Raoul, on double bass....

Tous les mardis de 20h à 23h, Chez Georges accueille le collectif Alex Swing Events qui propose une programmation variée et de qualité, suivant un répertoire de swing / jazz manouche, la musique de Django Reinhardt et Stéphane Grappelli, et de bien d'autres !Chez Georges, c'est un bar à vin très sympathique de la rue des canettes, avec au sous-sol une magnifique cave voûtée, transformée le mardi en cave... de jazz manouche !Boulou Ferré est le fils du guitariste Pierre « Matelo » FERRET et le frère d’ Elios FERRET , lui aussi guitariste. Avec son frère, il orthographie son nom sans le t final.Il apprend la guitare avec son père qui avait joué avec le « Quintette du Hot Club de France » pendant dix ans. Il étudie la musique classique au Conservatoire National de Paris et fait ses premiers enregistrements à l’âge de onze ans. En 1964, il joue aux côtés du saxophoniste John COLTRANE au « Festival d’Antibes-Juan les Pins ». Il joue également avec le saxophoniste Dexter GORDON , le trompettiste « Dizzy » GILLESPIE , le violoniste Stéphane GRAPPELLI , les saxophonistes Warne MARSH et Barney WILEN et d’autres.
