About
Our resident artist in February is the great Polish bassist, composer and illustrator Tomo Jacobson. He has been a consistant force on the Copenhagen scene for the last 3-4 years and his playing is very organic, forward-going, often rough and pushing the sonic possibilities of double bass. He has an unique, recognizable sound and a very strong sense of direction. Tomo has been working with such musicians as John Tchicai, Andrew D'Angelo, Lotte Anker, Adam Rudolph, Rasul Siddik, Peter Ole Jรธrgensen, Mat Maneri, Randy Peterson, Kresten Osgood, Jesper Lรธvdal, Hugh Steinmetz, Anders Banke, Nils Davidsen, Jakob Dinesen, Frands Rifbjerg, IKI, Rasmus Ehlers, Ben Besiakov, Ture Larsen, and many others. He has put together a delightful program for us the 5 mondays of february....

kl 01 ALAHUTA
straight outta Cherbourg in Normandy comes ALAHUTA consisting of an old harmonium, a table with various machines and a lighting installation.ยซ Forgotten chapels, lost people, an insolated peninsulaโฆ this is where Alahutaโs music comes from. A churchโs instrument, whining machines, some sizzling light bulbs , sometimes some screams. ยป
