Mark Sganga’s fingerstyle guitar weaves a rich tapestry of beautiful melody, dynamic rhythm, & imaginative improvisation. Fusing influences from South America & around the world, Mark creates an entrancing travelogue, as an instrumentalist, bandleader, singer/songwriter & educator. He is a virtuoso guitarist who has enthralled audiences from Stockholm to Kuala Lumpur to the Thredbo Jazz Festival in Australia. Mark has been featured on tours & recordings w/ Indian violin virtuoso Dr. L. Subramaniam, alongside Larry Coryell & Herbie Hancock. He has played opposite the legendary Taj Mahal & Les Paul among other greats. He is a repeat featured performer & judge at The Indiana State Fingerstyle Guitar Competition as well as a main-stage performer at the venerable Walnut Valley Festival in Wichita, KS where Mark won first place in the 2009 International Fingerstyle Guitar Competition. Martin Pizzarelli is a jazz bassist who has worked w/ brother John Pizzarelli for 25 years, and from there working w/ 7-string guitarist Ed Laub along w/ 7-string guitar master (and father) Bucky Pizzarelli. For the past two years, Martin has been working and recording w/ Brazilian drummer of Jobim fame Duduka da Fonseca as well as w/ Int'l Fingerstyle Guitar Champion Mark Sganga.
Drummer Terry Silverlight has contributed his musical talents as a leader, songwriter, composer, producer, arranger, drummer, author & educator to projects in almost every style & facet of the music business. He began his recording career at the age of 14 when he played drums on his brother Barry Miles's album, WHITE HEAT, regarded as a pioneering landmark in the history of jazz/rock fusion music. He has performed all over the world & recorded on gold/platinum albums & hit singles for Billy Ocean, George Benson, Natalie Merchant, Freddie Jackson, Stephanie Mills, Tom Jones, Laura Nyro, Anne Murray, Mel Torme, Jennifer Holliday, Phil Woods, The Fania All -Stars, The CTI All-Stars, Jonathan Butler. Film scores for One Fine Day, You've Got Mail, Object Of My Affection, My Blue Heaven, Titus, Frida, Slaves Of New York, What Planet Are You From & countless jingles & TV shows. Terry has toured globally with Roberta Flack, the award-winning all-star Manhattan Jazz Orchestra (MJO), and many others.
