Roxy Coss is a New York City based Saxophonist/Composer. Her CD release: Chasing the Unicorn (Posi-Tone Records) received a 4-Star Downbeat review, and Roxy was recently featured in JazzTimes.

Musician/Composer Roxy Coss has become one of the most unique and innovative Saxophonists on the New York scene, a definitional voice of the Millennial Movement in Jazz. Downbeat called her "an exceptional young talent, and she has been listed in the Downbeat Critics Polls as a "Rising Star" on Soprano Saxophone the past four years. In 2016, Coss was named a recipient of an ASCAP Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award, and also chosen to headline at the Newport Jazz Festival. Originally from Seattle, WA, and now a fixture on the New York City scene, she has toured around the world and performed and recorded extensively both as a leader of her band, the Roxy Coss Quintet, and as a side-woman with Clark Terry, Louis Hayes, Claudio Roditi, Billy Kaye, Willie Jones III, Jeremy Pelt, the DIVA Jazz Orchestra, and Maurice Hines, among others. Roxys third album, Chasing the Unicorn," was released March 2017 as her debut on the Posi-Tone Record label. The Roxy Coss Quintet performs many of Roxys original compositions in the modern jazz style, her arrangements and adaptations of tunes from the American Standard and Modern Jazz songbook, as well as some Popular favorites.
