Jazz from its beginnings has been is a melting pot of musical cultures from around the world, musicians from all over the globe take elements of jazz and incorporate them in their traditional music to create even more intricate and complex colors of sound.

Middle Eastern music can be traced to 800 BCE, this music, just like jazz relies on both improvisation and composition, and is based on a series of modal scales and tunes which must be memorized....
