Jake has opened for Ray Charles, Etta James, Dr. John, Buddy Guy, Jr. Wells, Taj Mahal, Buckwheat Zydeco, Tony Joe White, John Hammond and Mavis Staples whose band he has recorded with.

Jake sometimes sings his songs and acts in film and television. He recently starred in the Stephen King/John Mellencamp/T-Bone Burnett stage musical Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, did a guest spot on HBO drama True Detective, and had a supporting role in an action movie called Close Range. ...
