About
On April 21 at 7:30 in the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts the PSU Jazz Ensembles will present a free concert: Jazz and PSU in Retrospective, featuring historical photos of PSU from 1903 to today and narrated by Dr. Karl Kunkel. The musical works will run the gamut from Blues to Dixieland to Swing, Cool and Fusion with guests: Lem Sheppard singing the blues, Todd Hastings on the Miles Davis classic My Ship, Patrick Howle on the Sinatra classic Fly Me To the Moon, Russell Jones on the gospel influenced Turkey One, Stella Hastings on the Brazilian work Girl from Impanema, James Clanton and Joanne Britz on the Krupa/Goodman hit Sing Sing Sing and of course an Andrews Sister’s classic Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy with Stella Hastings, Madison Youngberg-King and Lisa Gerstenkorn plus much more....
