NEA Jazz Master Albert "Tootie" Heath who was the last living member of "The Heath Brothers" ,

which were one of America's most prominent Jazz Families from Philadelphia which included his Brothers Percy Heath , Jimmy Heath and Drummer Albert "Tootie" Heath.

Albert Heath passed on April 3rd 2024 and Each of the three Heath Brothers received NEA Jazz Master Endowments ; Percy Heath in 2002, Jimmy Heath in 2003 and Albert "Tootie"Heath in 2021.

Albert "Tootie " Heath performed with some of the most prolific musicians in Jazz, Herbie Hancock, Benny Golson, Dexter Gordon, J.J. Johnson, Dexter Gordon, Art Farmer , Wes Montgomery and his tenure as the drummer with "The Heath Brothers "....
