anotherworldmusic is the home of the UK based jazz-hiphop group MOTIV.
Working at the edge of the contemporary jazz scene MOTIV mix jazz improvisation with a modern big beat sound. Creating angular harmonies over break beats and funky drum & bass, two horn players, a three piece rhythm section and the poignant lyricism of MC Cheshire Cat produce a sound and vibe recently described as: “Funky jazz for the21st Century”.
