What a unique way to enter the smooth jazz fusion format with an album that musically rocks. The Bernd Brothers is one brave duo with the courage to try something that's more related to the rock than the smooth jazz genre. Nevertheless, “Permanent Solution” is a great addition to the evolving format that might as well be introducing some “heavier” stuff. Some of the more recommended smooth jazz radio-ready tracks are “Sweet Dreams”, “Skyline Drive” and “A Night In Tunisia”. Better backing would make this album sound more professional. If you're a rock listener preferring a little jazz in the mix, give this album a try.
