Argentinsk-peruvianske Ricarda Cometa leverer rituel trommemagi og no nonsense no wave på ALICE!

Skrattende no wave og spastiske rytmer går hånd i hånd med rituelle grooves og inspirationer fra både latinamerikansk, afrikansk og asiatisk musik hos Ricarda Cometa. Den Buenos Aires-baserede duo lyder mildest talt ikke som ret meget andet. Men fans af navne som Captain Beefheart og Arto Lindsay kan roligt stemple ind, når Ricarda Cometa tager fat på deres dekonstruktion af rocken.

Ricarda Cometa var oprindelig en trio, men har siden 2017 været en duo med Jorge Espinal på guitar og Tatiana Heuman på trommer. Med rødder i både Argentina og Peru og med et udsyn, der favner flere genrer og verdenshjørner, er duoen et stærkt bud på globalt orienteret no wave anno 2019.

Sidste år udsendte de det anmelderroste album ‘Ricarda Cometa 2’ – et overdådigt udstillingsvindue for duoens stærkt eksperimenterende og dog voldsomt fængende blanding af fræsende guitarer og overrumplende tromme-grooves. Endnu bedre er det at opleve deres intense spil og improviserede energi live. De seneste år har de da også turneret flittigt i Europa, og nu kommer chancen til ALICE. Hold på hat og briller, når Ricarda Cometa leverer deres hæsblæsende guitar/tromme-angreb!
