Selvhenter are back and bursting with energy and intense liveshows again!
From 2020 on Selvhenter plays their intense live shows in a trio line up consisting of Maria Bertel (trombone), Sonja LaBianca (saxophone), and Anja Jacobsen (drums).
The fascinating music of Selvhenter is based on the foundation of polyrhythmic patterns laid down by the drums. From 2020 on Selvhenter plays their intense live shows in a trio line up consisting of Maria Bertel (trombone), Sonja LaBianca (saxophone), and Anja Jacobsen (drums).
The fascinating music of Selvhenter is based on the foundation of polyrhythmic patterns laid down by the drums. Simultaneously, the horns intertwine in heavy riffing, pop-like melodies and textures of sound. They are often manipulated by the use of effect pedals which gives the music a special timber of multiple amplified overtones and frequencies. As a result, the group's sound is beautiful, energetic and danceable.
Their sound brings forward associations of rock, pop, noise, drone and improvisation - but also influences from the percussion music of Africa and Southeast Asia as well as modern minimalist composition.
The three members of the band are all active on the Copenhagen experimental music scene in bands, performance groups and solo projects such as Meshes, Ymers Pizza, Frk. Jacobsen, Gud Er Kvinde, Valby Vokalgruppe and Sonja Labianca.

BOUJELOUD
Danish supergroup Boujeloud is back with new music!
Known for their fierce live performances and their expressive and personal sound, the trio is now back on the stage with new songs, danceable beats and curious backwards guitar riffs from their upcoming album.
They are soon releasing their follow-up album to the critically acclaimed CANDY PRINCE from 2016 which won a Danish Music Award Jazz.
Expect nothing less than an evening with wild energy and unpredictable charm.

Selvhenter er tilbage og sprudler af energi og musik igen!
Nu spiller Selvhenter deres intense live shows i en trio bestående af Maria Bertel (basun), Sonja LaBianca (saxofon), and Anja Jacobsen (trommer).
Deres fascinerende musik er en form for eksplosiv power-jazz med energiske improvisationer. Der er inspiration fra free-jazz, punk, rock, drone og minimalisme, men også fra den afrikanske og sydøstasiatiske percussion musik. Med mønstre af trommer, afbrydende horn og lyd fyldt af tekstur, har gruppens musik en smuk, energisk og danseklar rytme.
Gruppens tre medlemmer er alle aktive på Københavns eksperimentelle musikscene, i bands, performancegrupper og soloprojekter, herunder Meshes, Ymers Pizza, Frk. Jacobsen, Gud Er Kvinde, Valby Vokalgruppe og Sonja Labianca.

Den danske supergruppe Boujeloud er tilbage med ny musik!
Kendt for deres stærke liveoptræden og deres udtryksfulde og personlige lyd, er trioen nu tilbage med nye sange, dansable beats og guitarvæverier.
De har netop færdiggjort deres 4. album som er opfølgeren til deres kritikerroste CANDY PRINCE fra 2016, der vandt en Danish Music Award Jazz og blandt andet kaldt for “Både rablende, kinky, morsom, opkvikkende og udmattende. En ordentlig krasser.”
Boujeloud blander frygtløst free jazz, dansable beats, krøllede guitarfigurer og globale inspirationer. Forvent intet mindre end en aften med vild energi og en uforudsigelig charme.
